I find inspiration in nature and the sky at dusk has always moved me. I wanted to explore the different colors that transform with the vanishing sun and I painted more solid interpretations of a sky filled with clouds as an expression of heaviness in what would appear to be weightless. The paintings came about by following my curiosity in color and an inclination to solidify the ephemeral. Coalescence is the scientific process of two or more droplets merging together. I found this word to be an appropriate show title as it refers both to cloud formation and how this particular body of work came to be. I hope for the viewer to enjoy their interpretations of the paintings while being transported to that floating realm of our world.
