Painting allows me to process, reflect, explore, express. I am curious about my observations, about my experiences, about stories that are told. I paint to examine the feelings that render you speechless. The ones that make you feel that you will burst. The ones that are so mundane that they don’t deserve being spoken aloud. It is a thirst for discovery and understanding that fuels me. My art is non-objective, I am not painting to reproduce, I am painting to reexamine. By physically creating paintings, I am following my curiosity and exploring that which sparks it. Each brush stroke reflects this act of searching all while working in tandem with the material itself as the mercurial nature of art demands; I must surrender a part of myself in order to allow the response to be heard and the painting to be revealed. I possess the ability to give my art life, but they exist on their own, forever seeking more.
